About the role

As a Merchandiser, you'll work independently to showcase organization and time management skills, establish retailer relationships, and be the face of Hallmark. You'll collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory levels, and support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations as needed. You may also work with other companies' products in the stores you service.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day engagement: Use a Hallmark‑provided mobile device to restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark inventory inside and outside the Hallmark department; communicate with supervisor, report time, provide feedback, and complete required merchandising surveys; interact professionally with store employees, management, and customers.
• Holiday support: Work additional days and extended hours leading up to and following holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas; may be required to work on the actual holiday, including weekends.
• Department resets: Participate in team installations, building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections; typically notified two weeks in advance, possibly evenings or weekends.
• One Team Vision: Support other merchandisers in your territory as needed, contributing to Hallmark’s field organization network.

Requirements

• Physically demanding role requiring consistent pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying of cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 lb throughout the workday and up to 50 lb occasionally.
• Ability to kneel, squat, walk, stand, climb stairs, and use step ladders throughout the workday.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 lb frequently and 50 lb occasionally.
• Ability to operate a digital hand‑held device to open, read documents, and interpret information.
• Access to Wi‑Fi/internet and consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.

Pay

Starting hourly pay rate: $16.00 – $18.00 per hour, based on skills and experience.

Schedule

• Part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
• Average weekly hours: 7–10 hours.
• Required availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends.
• Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
