Hallmark Merchandiser (part-time) Mt. Pleasant, TX 75455

About the role

As a Merchandiser, you’ll work independently to showcase your organization and time management skills, build retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and assist with seasonal resets and installations when needed. On occasion, you may also support products from other companies in the stores you service.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day engagement: Using a Hallmark-provided mobile device, you’ll restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark products inside and outside the Hallmark department. Technology is essential for daily tasks, supervisor communication, time reporting, feedback, and completing merchandising activity surveys. Professional and courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers is required.
• Holiday support: Hallmark’s operations are seasonal, with increased days and extended hours before and after holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. You may be required to work on holidays themselves, including weekends.
• Department resets: You may join a team to install fixtures, relocate card departments and products, and reset card sections. Remodel assignments are typically communicated two weeks in advance and may require evenings or weekends.
• Team collaboration: As part of Hallmark’s field organization, you’ll support other merchandisers in your territory as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Physically demanding role requiring energy and urgency.
• Work on the selling floor and in back stockrooms.
• Consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds; up to 50 pounds on occasion.
• Kneel, squat, walk, stand, climb stairs, and use step ladders throughout the workday.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Able to read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
• Able to operate a digital hand-held device to open and read documents and interpret information.
• Access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
• Access to consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.

Pay

Starting hourly pay rate is $13.00–$15.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience.

Schedule

• Part-time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
• Average weekly hours are between 4–8 hours.
• Availability required the week before and after major holidays, including weekends.
• Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
