About the Role
As a Merchandiser, you'll work independently, showcasing your organization and time management skills while building relationships with retailers as the face of Hallmark. You'll collaborate with store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory, and support seasonal resets and installations. Occasionally, you may work with products from other companies in the stores you service.
Responsibilities
- Perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores (grocery, drug, department, and mass retailers)
- Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory using a company-provided mobile device
- Interact professionally with store employees, management, and customers
- Support holiday demand with additional days and extended hours around major holidays
- Participate in department resets, including building fixtures, relocating departments, and resetting card sections
- Support fellow team members in their territories as needed
Requirements
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Access to Wi-Fi, the internet, and consistent transportation to assigned stores
- Availability the week before and after major holidays, including weekends
- Flexibility to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory
Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to read, write, and understand English
- Ability to operate a digital hand-held device
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift and carry up to 30 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Kneel, squat, walk, stand, and climb stairs/step ladders throughout the workday
Pay
Starting hourly rate: $15.00-$17.00, depending on skills and experience. Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
Schedule
Part-time, variable schedule during the work week, averaging 7-10 hours per week. Additional hours and days required around major holidays and seasonal changeovers.
