About the role
As a Merchandiser, you'll work independently to showcase your organization and time management skills, build retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark. You will partner with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and assist with seasonal resets and installations when needed. On occasion, you may also support non-Hallmark products in the stores you service.
Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day service work in the Hallmark department of retail stores (e.g., grocery, drug, department, and mass retailers).
- Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory inside and outside the Hallmark department using a Hallmark-provided mobile device.
- Use technology for daily tasks, supervisor communication, time reporting, feedback, and merchandising activity surveys.
- Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
- Maintain the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
- Provide holiday support with additional days and extended hours around major holidays (e.g., Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas), including possible work on holidays and weekends.
- Participate in department resets, including building and installing fixtures, relocating card departments/products, and resetting card sections; assignments are typically communicated two weeks in advance and may require evenings or weekends.
- Collaborate with a network of merchandising professionals to support teammates in other territories as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Physically demanding role requiring energy and urgency.
- Work on the selling floor and in back stockrooms.
- Consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds; occasionally up to 50 pounds.
- Kneel, squat, walk, stand, climb stairs, and step ladders throughout the workday.
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Ability to frequently grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to operate a digital hand-held device to open and read documents and interpret information.
- Access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
- Access to consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.

Pay
Starting hourly pay rate is $12.00 – $14.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
Schedule
- Part-time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
- Average weekly hours are between 2 – 6 hours per week.
- Availability required the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends.
- Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
