Hallmark Installation Merchandiser Floater (part-time) Discovery Bay, CA 94505

As an Installation Merchandiser Floater, you'll collaborate with local store teams and fellow team members on new store installations, resets/remodels, and seasonal installations. You will support and work independently to showcase organization and time management skills, establish retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark. You may also collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory, and occasionally work with products from other companies in stores serviced by Hallmark.

Responsibilities

• Perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores (grocery, drug, department, mass retailers).
• Installation day engagement:
  • Responsible for assigned reset/installation activities, including removing product and trash, dismantling and building fixtures, and displaying products (ranging from small 4ft displays to entire departments).
  • Work may include evenings or weekends.
  • Utilize a Hallmark-provided mobile device to communicate with supervisors, provide feedback, answer surveys, and monitor inventory inside and outside the Hallmark department.
  • Professional and courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers.
• Holiday support:
  • Expect additional days and extended hours during peak seasons (Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas).
  • May be required to work on holidays, including weekends.
• One Team Vision: Support other merchandising professionals in their territories as needed.

Requirements

• Geographical coverage: San Francisco Bay area. Must live within this area and be available to travel to assigned stores.
• Physically demanding role requiring high energy and a sense of urgency:
  • Work on the selling floor and in back stockrooms.
  • Consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds (up to 50 pounds occasionally).
  • Kneel, squat, walk, stand, climb stairs, and use step ladders throughout the workday.
• Basic Qualifications:
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Able to read, write, and understand English.
  • Ability to operate a digital hand-held device to read documents and interpret information.
  • Access to a Wi-Fi network, the internet, and consistent transportation to travel to assigned stores.

Pay

Starting hourly pay rate: $16.90 to $18.90 per hour, depending on skills and experience.

Schedule

• Part-Time position with a variable schedule during the workweek.
• Average weekly hours: 0–24 hours per week.
• Paid training provided through live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training.
• Required availability:
  • The week before and after major holidays (may include weekends).
  • Seasonal changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
