Haley Bull is the White House Correspondent for Scripps News, serving the company's national broadcast and local affiliates, covering the Biden administration, 2024 election, and now President Trump's second term.

Responsibilities

During her tenure covering the White House, Haley covers domestic policy, foreign affairs, and politics, and has been counted on to ask thoughtful and provoking questions of President Trump in the Oval Office, President Biden at a critical moment before he dropped out of the election, and then Vice President Harris in the days before Election Day.

Background

Haley joined the network's political team after working on national stories across the country, including the overturn of Roe v Wade, the aftermath of Hurricane Ian, legal challenges involving President Trump, and mass tragedies.

Prior to joining the network, Haley worked at WFTS in Tampa, where she covered the pandemic in Florida from day one, and at WXIN/WTTV in Indianapolis, Indiana, where she helped to change the face of the opioid crisis and shined a light on its effects.

Qualifications

Haley graduated from the University of Maryland with a double major in Government and Politics and Broadcast Journalism, and contributed to the school's online lifestyle magazine and reported for the Capitol News Service, where she won a regional student Emmy.

Haley also interned for the CBS Evening News and the Political Unit in the Washington bureau.
