About the role
The Hairstylist is responsible for providing exceptional hair care services within the club’s spa environment. The role involves delivering high-quality styling, cutting, and coloring services while maintaining a strong focus on attention to detail. The Hairstylist will create personalized and relaxing experiences for both members and guests, ensuring their individual needs are met. With expertise and passion for hair care, this role will contribute to a welcoming atmosphere that enhances the overall spa experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of hair services, including cutting, coloring, styling, and treatments for men, women, and children.
- Provide consultations to members/guests to understand their needs, preferences, and recommend appropriate hair services and products.
- Ensure a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere for all members/guests, delivering outstanding customer service.
- Educate members/guest on hair care routines and promote spa services and products to enhance their experience.
- Keep accurate records of member/guest preferences and history for future reference.
- Stay updated on current hair trends, techniques, and products to ensure high standards of service.
- Attend regular training sessions and meetings to maintain skills and knowledge of industry trends.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, equipment, and tools in compliance with spa standards.
- Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure member/guest safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with other spa team members to provide a seamless and holistic wellness experience for club members and guests.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a cosmetology program from an accredited school.
- Valid cosmetology or hairstyling license.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience working in a resort, country club, or high-end spa.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience with various hair care techniques, including cutting, coloring, styling, and chemical treatments (e.g., perms, relaxers).
- Knowledge of hair care products and their application, with the ability to recommend suitable options to clients.

- Customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with clients.
- A keen eye for detail and a strong sense of aesthetics to deliver personalized styles that meet clients' preferences.
- Creativity and adaptability to stay current with the latest hair trends and techniques.

Schedule
Adherence to attendance requirements as outlined in the weekly schedule. Flexibility to work additional hours as needed to meet position deadlines. Availability to work on weekends and/or holidays as required.
