Duties And Responsibilities
- Follow study instructions and protocols using controlled and consistent application of products, eliminating variability that occurs due to inconsistent consumer self-application.
- Perform comparison evaluations via half head testing.
- Provide objective hair product performance evaluations against a prescribed, consistent set of attributes.
- Evaluate hair (hair health and hair end-look / beauty) from consumer perspective and articulate aspects of product performance and provide insights that typical consumer may not articulate.
- Aid in method development-standardizing protocols, creating new protocols as project demands change.
- Identify reference products that span an entire attribute.
- Confidently assess and style diverse hair types (straight, wavy, curly, coily, etc.) and hair switches.
- Drive qualitative understanding through product usage/experience.
- Assist in consultations before products and brainstorming sessions after projects.
- Provide calibration work on mannequins and live patrons (lather, shine, smoothness, softness, etc.).

Education And Experience
- Previous experience working with hair and styling hair.
- Completion of a cosmetology license.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of above.
Compensation
Compensation Range: $18 - $20 an hour (e.g., the job posting is not necessarily reflective of actual compensation that may be earned, and actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as locations, education, experience, and skillset).
