Responsibilities
- Provide quality services by consulting with clients and applying the appropriate service techniques.
- Recommend and participate in all approved local marketing initiatives, including coupon campaigns, seasonal initiatives, and client appreciation events.
- Educate clients about proper home hair care and recommend services and products to maintain their hairstyle.
- Employ best practices for customer service, ensuring client satisfaction and building loyalty.
- Provide quality consultations, including stating the final price before service begins.
- Complete administrative tasks (e.g., closing out tickets on the POS system, scheduling appointments) promptly.
- Communicate effectively with clients, team members, leaders, and the corporate support team.
- Meet or exceed productivity standards set by Regis.
- Perform all services offered at the salon.
- Maintain flexibility in scheduled shifts, including potential night and weekend shifts.
- Attend all required technical training sessions.
- Follow Regis policies as defined in the Handbook and salon-specific operational procedures (e.g., bank deposits, salon cleaning, disinfecting styling implements).
Requirements
- Work as a team-player and/or independently.
- Market yourself in the community and salon to increase clientele.
- Possess exceptional communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Exhibit consistent and excellent customer service skills.
- Multi-task efficiently to complete salon duties.
- Willingness to learn new techniques and stay current with hair trends.
- Physical requirements may include bending, sitting, twisting, turning, lifting (10-15 pounds), and standing for extended periods.
Qualifications
- Stylist-in-Training: Graduated 90 days or less away from graduating from cosmetology school.
- Stylist: Possession of a valid, current cosmetology or barber’s license.
- Must maintain a valid cosmetology or barber’s license (or be within 90 days of graduating).
- All Stylists/Stylists-in-Training must complete assigned training as determined by Regis.
- All Supercuts (SC) Stylists/Stylists-in-Training must participate in the Hair Stylist Academy (HSA) program and receive a certificate of completion.
Work Location
The Stylist role is based at a Regis (Supercuts, Holiday Hair, or Cost Cutters) salon location.
