H&M Sales Advisor - Tysons Corner, VA (Full time)

About the Role

As a Sales Advisor, you’ll be responsible for providing excellent customer service, welcoming and guiding customers through the store to actively sell products, and offering support and guidance. You’ll use your fashion and product knowledge to give customers relevant information for the best experience, work on garment refill and care, maintain presentation, and contribute to a clean and tidy sales floor and back‑of‑house while collaborating with the store team.

Responsibilities

• Customer Sales & Profit
  • Provide excellent customer service by welcoming and guiding customers through the store and OMNI experience where available.
  • Engage in conversations with customers to deliver excellent service.
  • Guide customers through fashion trends, stories, and products across all store areas.
  • Effectively promote and sell products.
  • Actively promote the Customer Loyalty App (Hello Member) and in‑store sustainability initiatives.
  • Represent the H&M brand positively during all interactions.
  • Support commercial or operational actions to reach sales targets with store management.
• Fashion & Trend Awareness
  • Stay up‑to‑date with fashion scenes, trends, styles, brands, products, competitors, and relevant influencers.
  • Use product and fashion knowledge to share relevant information with customers.
• Team & Development
  • Retain and share service, fashion, and store‑operations knowledge with colleagues.
  • Follow all procedures, routines, and legal requirements.
  • Give and receive feedback to learn, develop, and support each other.
  • Participate in onboarding, introductions, trainings, and courses relevant to the role and future development.
• Retail Operations / Visual & Commercial Execution
  • Complete the full garment cycle from unpacking and refill to steaming, ensuring good garment care.
  • Operate fitting rooms and checkout areas according to best practices.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy sales floor, back‑of‑house, and stockrooms.
  • Support garment presentation, execution, and attractive merchandise displays following visual and commercial guidelines.
  • Ensure good stock levels with replenishment routines on the sales floor.
  • Follow best practices for in‑store OMNI services and tech tools (In‑store Care App, Click & Collect, Smart Store, etc.).
  • Assist with opening and closing of the store.
  • Adhere to health & safety guidelines and applicable legal requirements.

Qualifications

As a Sales Advisor you should be passionate about fashion, motivated to give customers a great experience, and possess strong communication, creativity, curiosity, flexibility, decisiveness, and action‑orientation. You enjoy working in a collaborative, dynamic environment.

• Sales experience in a dynamic, collaborative setting.
• Customer‑service experience in fashion, retail, or other service‑related industries.

Pay

Hourly, Non‑Exempt position. Pay rate: $17 per hour.
