About the role

Are you someone who loves working with your hands? Curious about how vehicles work? Looking to start a long-term career with opportunities for growth and professional certification? This full-time, paid Automotive Apprenticeship through our H+H University Apprenticeship Program (Registered Department of Labor) is geared toward current high school seniors or recent graduates—no prior experience required.

As an H+H University Automotive Apprentice, you'll learn side-by-side with experienced Technicians and gain hands-on skills in:

• Performing basic vehicle inspections and maintenance
• Understanding automotive systems and diagnostics
• Assisting with repairs under mentorship
• Using tools and equipment safely and effectively
• Building technical knowledge while working in a professional shop environment

You’ll progress through a structured 2-year training program designed to help you become a skilled Automotive Service Technician with a nationally recognized certification. Every day brings new challenges, new skills, and the chance to grow into a certified technician.

Note: This Apprenticeship will conclude after August 10, 2026.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday: 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Saturday: 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Perform basic vehicle inspections and maintenance
• Assist with automotive repairs under mentorship
• Use tools and equipment safely and effectively
• Follow safety standards and shop protocols
• Progress through structured training phases to build technical expertise

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must pass pre-employment screenings (drug test, background check, and lift assessment)
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required for candidates 18+)
• Able to bend, push, climb, twist, reach, kneel, and perform other physical movements required for the job
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a hands-on environment

Qualifications

• Passion for cars and curiosity about how they work
• Basic vehicle knowledge or interest in automotive mechanics (prior experience or classes are a bonus but not required)
• Positive attitude and enthusiasm for teamwork
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
• Comfortable standing for long periods and working with your hands
