About the role
The Gymnastics Specialty Instructor leads structured gymnastics classes in a safe and supportive environment. Responsibilities include preparing equipment, guiding participants through skill development, maintaining a clean and organized space, and submitting accurate timecards.
Responsibilities
- Lead gymnastics classes teaching proper skills and techniques in a structured and supportive setting.
- Set up equipment before class and return it to storage after each session.
- Check the program area and equipment before class to ensure a safe space for participants.
- Keep equipment and class spaces clean and organized.
- Record and submit accurate timecards for hours worked.
Requirements
- Current First Aid and CPR/AED certification.
- At least five (5) years of experience instructing gymnastics or a related specialty program.
Qualifications
- Communicate clearly with participants, families, and recreation staff.
- Demonstrate and teach gymnastics skills in a safe and easy manner.
- Stay organized and prepared to ensure classes start on time and run smoothly.
- Create a welcoming environment that encourages participation and skill development.
