About the role
We are seeking a gymnastics coach to positively impact the community through our YMCA programs. This role involves teaching and supporting children in gymnastics settings.
Responsibilities
- Create a safe and supportive environment for learning and growth.
- Evaluate program skills and provide progress reports to parents.
- Instruct and assist in developing gymnasts’ skills according to YMCA standards.
- Supervise program participants and manage their behavior using positive support techniques.
- Attend staff meetings and trainings as required.
Requirements
- Ages 21 and older with 3-5 years of experience in gymnastics.
- Some college education or equivalent experience with USAG Safety Certification for Competitions.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with children and parents.
- Preferred with experience at the National, State, or National level of gymnastics competitions.
Qualifications
- Positive attitude and enjoyment of working with children.
- Willingness to follow YMCA standards and positive support techniques.
- Ability to wear proper attire as required by the YMCA.
