About the role
We are seeking a Gymnastics Instructor to positively impact the community through our YMCA programs. This position involves teaching gymnastics to children and helping them reach their full potential.
Responsibilities
- Create a safe and supportive environment for learning and growth.
- Evaluate program skills and provide progress reports to parents.
- Achieve age-appropriate goals and assist in the instruction of specific gymnastics programs.
- Assist in character development and technique refinement.
- Manage participant behavior using a collaborative approach.
- Attend staff meetings and trainings as required.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in gymnastics settings.
- Preferred with strong knowledge of gymnastics competitions at the National, State, and/or National levels.
- Strong communication skills and enjoyment of working with children and parents.
Qualifications
- Some college education or equivalent experience.
- USAG Safety Certification for Competitions.
