Gymnastics Coach

About the role

We are seeking a gymnastics coach to positively impact the community through our YMCA programs. This position offers free YMCA membership, flexible scheduling, and opportunities for professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe and supportive environment for learning and skill development
• Evaluate program skills and progress, and communicate with parents
• Instruct and supervise participants according to YMCA standards
• Evaluate and refine gymnasts' skills using positive support techniques
• Attend staff meetings and trainings as required

Requirements

• Age 21 or older
• 3-5 years of experience in gymnastics coaching
• Some college education or equivalent experience
• USAG Safety Certification for Competitions preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with children and parents

Qualifications

• Experience with gymnastics competitions at the national, state, and/or national levels
• Desire to work with children and maintain positive relationships with their families
