It all started when engineer Fred Luddy wrote code that automated a tedious task for his coworker, Phyllis. She cried tears of joy. That moment inspired Fred to build a company that could do that for everyone—freeing people from busywork so they could focus on meaningful work. Today, ServiceNow is the AI control tower for business reinvention. Our ServiceNow AI platform brings together any AI, any data, and any workflow—helping 85% of the Fortune 500® work smarter, faster, and better. We're building an AI-native culture where technology and talent are unstoppable together. Join us to put AI to work for people.

About the role

AI is the most powerful technology IT departments have ever been asked to deploy, and ServiceNow is where powerful technology gets deployed in the largest enterprises in the world. This position sits in the driver’s seat for the largest technology transformation enterprises have ever seen. Every enterprise is struggling to manage dozens of AI models, hundreds of apps, thousands of identities and services, and millions in token spend to transform into an AI-native organization. They need a platform—ServiceNow is that platform, where our customers will deploy and manage AI from any vendor.

We are looking for a leader to run our product marketing organization for this future—the moment where AI goes beyond parlor tricks and POCs and into the engine powering the world’s largest enterprises. IT is where it starts, and you will own the emergent category for AI-native and Autonomous IT across our market-leading portfolio: Autonomous Service Operations, IT Asset Management, and Portfolio and Enterprise Architecture, the vital backbone for the AI reinvention of companies worldwide.

Reporting to the SVP of Product & Solutions Marketing, you will lead the category narrative, AI-native innovation, and help customers realize value from our Autonomous IT solutions. You will deliver compelling POVs and insights that fuel million-dollar campaigns and engage a salesforce of thousands to take our message to market. You're a product marketer at your core—sharp on positioning, messaging, launches, and go-to-market strategy—but you operate at the altitude of a chief marketing officer. You think across business units, set the category agenda, and cut through noise. You are credible in front of a CIO and a first-week intern, moving both to act. You inspire with AI curiosity and insight, having already built new ways of working with AI in your own workflow and team. You thrive on customer interaction, analyst meetings, and press engagements, galvanizing talent around a common mission and building trusted bonds across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Set the portfolio-level narrative and category strategy for Autonomous IT solutions.
  • Drive the AI-native category play at an executive level: positioning, thought leadership, and external representation with customers, analysts, customer advisory boards, and the industry.
  • Work with a deep bench of talent across marketing, sales, and product on high-impact innovations.
  • Define integrated campaigns, GTM strategy alignment, and activation at global scale.
  • Partner with global marketing, product management, sales, solution consulting, and the partner ecosystem at an executive level.
  • Build a portfolio-wide library of customer proof points spanning industries and use cases—how customers realize value with Autonomous IT.
  • Build, lead, and grow an organization of product and solutions marketing leaders, including hiring and developing the next layer of category and narrative talent.

Requirements

  • 15+ years in product marketing, product management, or marketing leadership, including senior experience owning positioning and go-to-market strategy across multiple products or a portfolio, with demonstrated executive presence.
  • Direct experience in IT operations, IT service management, IT operations management, security, or adjacent enterprise software, with the technical fluency to speak credibly with IT executive buyers and their teams.
  • A track record of building category or platform narratives at an executive level—examples where several product stories became one bigger story the market and analysts bought into.
  • Proven ability to lead and grow global product marketing teams.
  • Fluency in AI-native product marketing.
  • Comfortable moving between board- and analyst-level narrative work and hands-on execution (decks, talk tracks, campaign briefs).
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
  • Up to 25% travel to support customer, analyst, and industry events.

Pay

For positions in this location, we offer a base pay of $283,600 - $482,100, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation, and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.

Benefits

  • Health plans, including flexible spending accounts.
  • 401(k) Plan with company match.
  • Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
  • Matching donations.
  • Flexible time away plan and family leave programs.
