Responsibilities

• Lead a team of technicians to produce timely, high-quality, and accurate results.
• Utilize strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills to drive project flow and manpower efficiency.
• Direct day-to-day tasks, exercise good judgment, and escalate issues to management when necessary.
• Implement strategies to reduce aircraft turn time and improve operational efficiency.
• Train and mentor assigned technicians on projects and workflows.
• Supervise team members in daily workload and independently manage multiple projects.
• Perform mechanical functions on aircraft, including removal/installation of panels and components, repair work, and sheet metal repair/installation.
• Troubleshoot and evaluate aircraft systems and components as designated.
• Conduct inspections and evaluations of aircraft and components.
• Assist with aircraft movement, performance runs, and taxiing when required.
• Maintain and repair shop facilities, equipment, and tooling to support operations.
• Support customer project management, pricing, and customer support roles.
• Communicate effectively in English (speaking, writing, reading).
• Complete all job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Airframe and Powerplant License required.
• Valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or valid passport preferred.
• Aircraft-specific factory training preferred.
• 8+ years in aviation maintenance preferred.
• 4+ years in program-specific airframes.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and lead small groups in daily tasks.
• Demonstrated expertise in aircraft maintenance and troubleshooting.

Supervision

• Directly supervise multiple technicians.
• Work under the supervision of assigned Team Leader and Operations Manager.
• Collaborate with other Team Leaders on multiple projects.

Working Conditions

• Primarily in a hangar environment with exposure to extreme temperatures.
• Outdoor work during aircraft runs.
• Varied positions in and around aircraft.

Equipment Used

• Personal hand tools supplied by the mechanic.
• Pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical equipment.
• Jacks, stands, lifts, and other support devices.
• Tugs, power carts, and other engine-powered equipment.
• Personal computer and work order prints.
