Gulfstream Aircraft Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift - 1067

About the role

The Aircraft Maintenance Technician position is available on a second shift schedule from Monday to Thursday, from 3 PM to 1 AM. The shift incentive includes a 10% to 15% premium, paid lunch, 3-day weekends, formal airframe training, and eligibility to transfer to first shift after three years.

Responsibilities

• Performing general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Removal and installation of panels and components.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving aircraft system/component issues.
• Engine removal/installations.
• Operating ground support equipment.
• Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components.
• Aircraft movement and assistance in performance runs/taxiing.
• Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment, and tooling.
• Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English.
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

Requirements

• A High school diploma or equivalent.
• A valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.
• AMT I: Airframe or Powerplant license is required. Airframe license is preferred. 0-2 years of experience in aviation maintenance, avionics, or similar.
• AMT II: Airframe or Powerplant license is required. Airframe license is preferred. 2-4 years of experience working in aviation maintenance, experience working on corporate aircraft is preferred but not essential.
• AMT III: Airframe license is required; in addition, Powerplant license is highly preferred. 4-6+ years’ experience in aviation maintenance, experience working on corporate aircraft is highly preferred but not essential.
• AMT IV (Master): Airframe and Powerplant license is required. 6+ years’ experience in aviation maintenance. Must have extensive experience on corporate aircraft platforms. Subject matter expert in all areas of the job.

• Self-motivated and able to perform in a fast-paced environment.
• Attend work every day as scheduled to include overtime and weekend assignments.
• Notify supervisor in advance of shift starting if unable to work.
• Must have reliable transportation to get to work each day.
• Work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.
• Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties.
• Maintain customer-oriented work habits.

SkillsBasic computer skills to be able to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
