About the role
This is a Full Time On-Site position at West Star Aviation. As an Aircraft Maintenance Technician, you will be essential to many functions including performing general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
Responsibilities
- Performing general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
- Removal and installation of panels and components.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving aircraft system/component issues.
- Engine removal/installations.
- Operating ground support equipment.
- Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components.
- Aircraft movement and assistance in performance runs/ taxiing.
- Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling.
- Basic computer skills to be able to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance data bases.
- Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English.
- Perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.
- Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties.
- Maintain customer-oriented work habits.
Requirements
- A High school diploma or equivalent.
- A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.
- AMT I: Airframe or Powerplant license is required. Airframe license is preferred. 0-2 years of experience in aviation maintenance, avionics, or similar.
- AMT II: Airframe or Powerplant license is required. Airframe license is preferred. 2-4 years of experience working in aviation maintenance. Experience working on corporate aircraft is preferred but not essential.
- AMT III: Airframe license is required; in addition, Powerplant license is highly preferred 4-6+ years’ experience in aviation maintenance. Experience working on corporate aircraft is highly preferred but not essential.
- AMT IV (Master): Airframe and Powerplant license is required. 6+ years’ experience in aviation maintenance. Must have extensive experience on corporate aircraft platforms. Subject matter expert in all areas of the job.
Qualifications
- Self-motivated and able to perform in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable transportation to get to work each day.
- Work under supervision of assigned Team Leader and Director of Maintenance.
- May be directed to supervise other technicians in some capacity.

Pay
The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $30-$46. Additional compensation in the form of a shift differential will be provided if the employee is assigned to an alternate shift.
