Guidewire Business Analyst

About the Role

We are seeking a Business Analyst with Guidewire expertise to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for Guidewire implementations and enhancements. You will collaborate with underwriters, product managers, policy operations teams, technical teams, and other stakeholders to ensure clear project scope and objectives.

Responsibilities

• Translate business needs into functional specifications and workflows aligned with Guidewire modules.
• Map out policy lifecycle processes, including submissions, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and reinstatements.
• Assist in configuring the product model (lines of business, coverages, exclusions) and rating engines/rate tables.
• Define data mapping and integration requirements between PolicyCenter and external systems (BillingCenter, ClaimCenter, or third-party data providers).
• Support UAT planning, execution, and defect tracking in collaboration with QA teams.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily standups, and user story demonstrations.

Requirements

• 11–15 years of experience as a Business Analyst in Guidewire Insurance Suite projects.
• Strong experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter configuration and implementation.
• Solid understanding of P&C insurance concepts, coverages, deductibles, and underwriting workflows.
• Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, and process-mapping software like Visio.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
• Certification in Guidewire or Business Analysis is a plus.
