About the Speedway
Homestead-Miami Speedway, opened in 1995 following an initiative to spur economic recovery after Hurricane Andrew, is a 650-acre facility featuring a 1.5-mile oval and 2.21-mile road course. Founded by Miami businessman, racing enthusiast, and philanthropist Ralph Sanchez, the Speedway hosts on-track events nearly 300 days per year and generates over $301 million annually for the region. NASCAR crowned champions in all three of its national series at Homestead-Miami Speedway for 18 consecutive years (2002-19) and will host NASCAR Championship Weekend again in 2026.
Available Roles
- Support Team
- Setup and teardown of items such as signage, tents, tables, chairs, and steel barricades.
- Transport staff to and from specific work locations on property.
- Deliver items such as water coolers and event information to Fan Crew Members.
- Assist all Guest Services departments with various tasks.
- Must pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.
- Admissions Crew
- Check each guest's ticket or credential for valid entry into the Venue or infield.
- Venue Crew
- Direct guests to their seats and other points of interest.
- Enforce Speedway policies and procedures.
- Provide event information to guests.
- Ensure everything in their assigned area is in working order.
- May work as elevator attendants to ensure guest safety.
- Tram Driver
- Safely and efficiently transport guests to various areas of the Speedway.
- Ensure Tram Ambassadors are performing their duties.
- Must have a valid Class A, B, or C CDL with current physical.
- Must pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.
- Tram Ambassador
- Paired with a Driver to ensure all safety equipment is operational and in good repair.
- Sit at the front right corner of the tram facing passengers.
- Ensure passengers remain seated and make safety announcements.
- Assist with loading/unloading as needed.
- Tram Attendant
- Proactively assist and greet guests as they approach the tram plaza.
- Answer questions professionally and courteously.
- Advise guests which queue to enter.
- Assist with loading/unloading, including guests with disabilities.
- ADA Cart Support
- Safely transport guests with disabilities via golf carts to and from designated locations.
- Must pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.
- Information Crew
- Positioned at information centers around the property and in the Venue.
- Provide accurate information to fans in a timely manner.
- Ensure fans have a positive race-day experience.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior customer service experience is strongly preferred.
- Minimum age of 18 years old.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to work with others and take direction.
- Ability to maintain a professional and courteous attitude with guests at all times.
- Ability to work nights/weekends as assigned.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Some positions may require a valid driver’s license and passing a motor vehicle license inspection report.
- Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation to and from the track location.
