Guest Services Supervisor | Part-Time | Pan American Center
Responsibilities
- Serve as an extension of the Event Manager during scheduled events
- Supervise and coordinate placement of Guest Services Attendants during an assigned event
- Works in conjunction with other Guest Services Supervisors
- Serves as the first line for patron complaints and Guest Services Attendant concerns/issues
- Serve as ticket taker and/or usher distributing programs and escorting patrons to their appropriate seats
- Aid with last-minute pre-event needs, such as setting-up, decorating, finding materials, etc.
- Provide special accommodations for wheelchairs and other physically challenged patrons, senior citizens, students and groups
- Work extended and/or irregular hours, including nights, weekends and holidays as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Demonstrate exceptional skills in customer relations, communications and problem-solving
- Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with other in both oral and written form
- Work independently, exercising judgment and initiative
- Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur
- Must be able to move around the facility and stand for extended periods during events
- Comfortable working inside or outside of the building, as needed by events
- Must be able to lift and/or move heavy objects and stoop as needed
About The Venue
Pan American Center is a multi-purpose arena in Las Cruces, New Mexico, located on the campus of New Mexico State University. The arena has a current seating capacity of 12,515 people. The arena serves as the home of the New Mexico State Aggies Men’s and Women’s Basketball and Woman’s Volleyball Teams.

Pay
This position pays an hourly rate of $17.50.
Schedule
This role is usually scheduled to work after normal business hours.
