About the role

AEG Guest Services and Show Operations Staff play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional experiences to over 160 million guests annually across 300+ venues worldwide. These roles are responsible for providing a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment for guests at events, ensuring smooth operations and high standards of customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary provider of direct services to guests, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment from entry to exit.
  • Answer guest questions, provide directions to key areas (restrooms, ATMs, coat checks, VIP areas, concert areas), and offer additional assistance as needed.
  • Operate coat check rooms following established guidelines and procedures.
  • Scan tickets for venue entry, administer wristbands (e.g., 21+, VIP, private event access), and enforce venue policies.
  • Greet guests, resolve complaints, and escalate concerns when necessary.
  • Monitor guest conduct to maintain a secure environment, including overseeing alcohol consumption to prevent underage drinking and ensure responsible behavior.
  • Assist guests with seating, including ADA patrons, and enforce venue policies and procedures.
  • Complete all required company and venue trainings and participate in employee meetings.
  • Serve as part of the emergency evacuation team, communicating with and directing guests during facility emergencies.
  • Monitor venue compliance with fire department safety regulations during guest arrival and exit.
  • Perform pre-show and post-show cleaning of common areas (e.g., lobbies, restrooms, elevators, seating) and maintain cleanliness throughout events.
  • Assist with crowd control, including opening doors, managing bar lines, and guiding guests to exits or around production load-out areas.
  • Provide reserved seating support, such as setting chairs, marking seating locations, and directing guests to their seats.
  • Control access points to prevent unauthorized entry and report any policy violations to supervisors or event managers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management or supervisors.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of related work experience (varies by role).
  • Ability to work in varying conditions, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance (e.g., tables, chairs).
  • Positive attitude with superior customer service skills.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for extended periods.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong judgment and decision-making abilities.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with team members.

Preferences

  • Previous experience working in events or knowledge of the music industry.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays based on venue schedule.

Pay

$10 - $14 per hour.

Benefits

This part-time position may be eligible for benefits under ACA qualification.
