About the role

The Guest Services Director oversees operations, serves as the primary contact for the community, and manages various departments including housekeeping, dining, and activities.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain high resident satisfaction through exceptional guest service.
  • Respond to and anticipate resident needs.
  • Create, execute, and maintain the Community Guest Services Directory.
  • Oversight of housekeeping services to ensure community standards.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses and organizations.
  • Manage guest relations staff, ensuring residents are engaged and content.
  • Coordinate and manage communication between residents and staff, resolving issues.
  • Stay informed about market trends and competitive projects.
  • Hire, supervise, direct, and motivate department heads, supervisors, and team members.
  • Maintain superior training and morale.
  • Ensure training programs are effectively executed.
  • Notify the General Manager of emergencies and beyond scope of responsibilities.
  • Provide appropriate reports.

Secondary Duties

  • Help develop annual operations and capital budgets.
  • Develop and maintain a positive community image.
  • Participate in local community affairs.
  • Represent the facility and company to relevant public agencies.

Requirements

  • College degree preferred.
  • 3 years of management experience.
  • Experience managing a budget.
  • Experience with decision making and problem solving.

Qualifications

  • Communicate in written and spoken English.
  • Respectful and reliable team player.
  • Physically able to push/pull up to 40 lbs., lift to 60 lbs., climb stairs, and handle tasks throughout the workday.
  • Enjoy working with seniors.
  • Basic computer and software knowledge.
  • At least 25 years of age.
  • Criminal record clearance required.
  • TB test results within 7 days of hire and a health screen within 30 days of hire (no older than 6 months).
  • Blood Borne Pathogen Training.
