About the role
The Cook Book 4* in Calpe (Alicante) is entering a new phase, reinforcing its identity as a gastro-boutique hotel where hospitality, attention to detail, and gastronomy are central to the guest experience. As we aim to become a benchmark of Mediterranean luxury and join the prestigious Relais & Châteaux association, we seek a Guest Service professional to ensure every guest enjoys a unique and authentic experience.
Responsibilities
- Act as a host for guests throughout their entire customer journey (before, during, and after their stay).
- Manage front-desk operations, including reservations, check-in/check-out, room assignments, billing, and payments.
- Provide personalized attention and resolve guest needs or incidents with professionalism and judgment.
- Promote and sell internal services (SPA, dining, events) and external activities (excursions, local experiences).
- Coordinate with all hotel departments to ensure excellence in service delivery.
- Participate actively in hotel operations, including breakfast service, dining, events, or other areas as needed.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by proposing ideas and optimizing processes.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, sustainability practices, and internal procedures.
Requirements
- Education in Tourism or a related field (preferred).
- Experience in hotel management and guest services.
- Proficiency in IT tools (Office, PMS such as Prestige, Review Pro, The Fork, or similar).
- Fluency in Spanish and English is essential; additional languages are a plus.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in similar roles at 4* or higher-rated hotels.
- A strong passion for service and hospitality (host-oriented profile).
- Excellent communication and guest interaction skills.
- Strong organizational skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Results-driven and sales-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and across departments.
- Discretion and empathy in handling guest interactions.
