About the role

The Guest Safety Officer position at Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel involves providing outstanding customer service, maintaining a safe and secure environment, and responding to incidents and requests in a professional manner.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests and assisting team members in a friendly, professional, and approachable manner.
  • Assist guests with directions, property information, questions, and resolution of minor concerns or issues.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the property to promote a welcoming and safe atmosphere for guests and employees.
  • Respond professionally and calmly to guest and employee incidents, accidents, or requests for assistance.
  • Support the safety and security of guests, team members, and company property.
  • Monitor access to restricted or secured areas as assigned.
  • Observe and report safety concerns, hazards, or suspicious activity to appropriate leadership.
  • Aid in monitoring guest and employee traffic throughout the property.
  • Answer incoming calls, provide information, and direct inquiries to the appropriate departments.
  • May assist with transporting money and chips in accordance with company procedures.
  • May be asked to operate company vehicles and/or equipment requiring a valid Driver’s License.
  • Work collaboratively with departments across the property to ensure a positive guest experience.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact positively with guests and team members.
  • Ability to remain professional, calm, and courteous in fast-paced or challenging situations.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn the Emergency Disaster Plan Manual.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, security, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in a hotel, casino, or entertainment environment is a plus.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.
