Guest Room Dining Assistant Manager

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Aid the Room Service Manager in managing and overseeing all room service operations.
  • Schedule, train, and supervise room service staff.
  • Ensure prompt and courteous delivery of food and beverages to guest rooms.
  • Assist in monitoring and maintaining high standards of quality, cleanliness, and presentation.
  • Handle guest inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  • Collaborate with the Room Service Manager to develop and implement new menu items and promotions.
  • Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
  • Monitor and control food and labor costs to meet budgetary guidelines.
  • Maintain compliance with all health and safety regulations.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Previous experience in room service or food and beverage operations.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage operations.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
  • Food Handler's Certificate required.
  • ServSafe Certification preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift equipment, supplies, etc., of at least 30 pounds.
  • Must be able to resolve problems, handle conflict, and make effective decisions under pressure.
  • Extended periods of time on your feet, especially during peak hotel hours or events.
  • Clear vision is important for reading reports, analyzing data, and overseeing (enter department) activities.
  • Good hearing is necessary for effective communication with colleagues, guests, and stakeholders.
