Guest Room Attendant

Responsibilities

• Service guest rooms using cleaning agents and equipment in accordance with departmental policies.
• Remove, inventory, and replace soiled linens; prepare rooms for guest arrivals.
• Organize and replenish guestroom amenities.
• Maintain a clean and orderly cart with adequate supplies.
• Assist other departmental personnel as needed.
• Promote a positive public/employee relationship at all times.
• Maintain a current understanding of all policy and guidelines regarding information security, including the Seneca Gaming Corporation Acceptable Use Policy.
• Provide exceptional customer service in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner.
• Maintain a professional work environment with supervisors, managers, and staff.
• Meet attendance guidelines and adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
• Complete all required SGC training programs within nine (9) months of employment.
• Attend all necessary meetings.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior hotel cleaning experience preferred.
• Basic mathematical skills for conducting inventories and counting linens.
• Excellent communication skills; ability to write routine correspondence and speak effectively to the public, employees, and customers.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interact well with customers and employees and resolve problems/conflicts diplomatically and tactfully.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• Noise level is usually moderately loud; on the casino floor it can be loud.
• Work environment permits smoking.
• Required to stand and walk 90% of the time while servicing rooms.
• Frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
• Push cleaning cart and operate vacuums.
• Ability to push or lift approximately 20–25 pounds of furniture, equipment, trash, and linens.
• Must be able to stand, walk, and move through all areas of the casino.
• Maintain physical stamina and a proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast‑paced casino environment.

Pay

Starting rate $16.00 per hour. Compensation is negotiable based on experience and education.

Schedule

Hours are determined by a 24‑hour schedule.
