Guest Experience Specialist
About the role
What if your job wasn't just answering phones or checking people in? What if every day you had the opportunity to make someone feel welcome, solve a problem before it became one, help a family discover their new community, or simply brighten someone's day with a genuine smile? At the Stroum Jewish Community Center, our Guest Experience Specialists do exactly that. This isn't a typical front desk position. You're the face of our organization—the first person members, guests, volunteers, vendors, and visitors meet when they walk through our doors. You're a host, concierge, problem solver, information expert, and one of the people who helps make the SJCC one of the most welcoming places in our community.

Requirements
Customer service experience is required. Experience in hospitality, hotels, customer-facing retail, recreation, community centers, or similar environments is especially valuable. We're looking for someone who loves working with people, naturally makes others feel welcome, can stay calm and positive when things get busy, notices the little details before others do, enjoys solving problems and helping others, is dependable, organized, and comfortable using technology, and can juggle multiple priorities without losing their smile.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate understands that hospitality and safety go hand in hand.
Skills
Ability to work with people, provide excellent customer service, solve problems, and maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
Benefits
The SJCC is more than a fitness center or community center—it's a place where people of all ages come to learn, connect, celebrate, and build community. Every day you'll interact with children heading to preschool, families attending events, members working out, older adults participating in programs, volunteers giving back, and guests visiting for the first time. You'll be part of creating an environment where everyone feels they belong. For more information on our benefits, please visit: https://sjcc.org/about/services/employment-at-the-j/
