Guest Experience Lead | Danbury Fair Mall | 6-month Contract
About the role
As a Guest Experience Lead at lululemon, you will ensure all guests receive a quality in-store experience by overseeing or providing technical product education that articulates the value of our product and brand. You will be part of the store leadership team, driving store performance through guest experience and team achievement of daily sales or unit targets. This role includes acting as Supervisor on Duty (SOD) and contributing to team member performance evaluations and hiring decisions.
Responsibilities
- Bring the lululemon guest experience framework to life, leading from the floor to establish an exceptional and inclusive guest experience.
- Continuously assess the level of guest connection and technical product education, ensuring every guest receives technical product education and assistance when needed.
- Act as Supervisor on Duty to assess and fulfill the needs of the business, team, and guests.
- Conduct preparation activities to ensure in-store readiness and maintain operational excellence throughout your shift.
- Open and close the store in accordance with procedures.
- Review and interpret daily business data and metrics to track progress toward sales goals and motivate the team.
- Participate in the store’s hiring process, including recruitment, selection, onboarding, and training.
- Address team member performance and support their ongoing learning and development through feedback, coaching, and hands-on experiences.
- Contribute to a respectful and inclusive team environment by engaging with team members and creating a fun, productive workplace.
Requirements
- Legally authorized to work in the country where the store is located.
- Ability to travel to the assigned store with reliable transportation.
- 1 year of retail or customer experience (e.g., guest resolution, navigating difficult conversations).
- Some experience in leading, mentoring, or delegating with others.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma/GED/equivalent or above (preferred).
- Experience: 1 year of retail/sales leadership experience (e.g., leading delegated assignments, mentoring peers) is a plus.
- Certification (for Experiential stores with food/beverage service only): Food safety and/or liquor service certification.

Work Context
- Work involves moving through the store with bright lights and loud music.
- Work is accomplished as part of a team, sometimes independently, and may involve using computers or other technical devices.
- May occasionally involve moving boxes weighing up to 30 lbs (13.6 kg).
- For Experiential stores with food/beverage service only: Work may involve using industrial kitchen equipment and exposure to heat.
Schedule
- Shifts vary based on store needs and may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- During peak times, special events, or other circumstances, shifts may include early mornings or late nights/overnights.
Pay
- Base Pay Range: $22.50 - $25.89/hour (subject to minimum wage in the location).
- Target Bonus: $2.00/hour.
- Total Target Base Pay Range: $24.50 - $27.89/hour.
