Position Summary
The Guest Environment Specialist ensures that all guest rooms and public spaces consistently meet Huntington and Marriott brand standards for cleanliness, safety, and environmental responsibility. This position is crucial in upholding our reputation for quality service and sustainability across our properties.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain guest rooms, hallways, and common areas to exceed guest expectations.
- Replenish amenities and supplies, prioritizing the use of eco-friendly products whenever possible.
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests, ensuring their needs are met efficiently.
- Maintain a professional demeanor at all times and embody Huntington’s hospitality values in every interaction.
- Participate in Huntington’s green initiatives, including energy conservation, waste reduction, and recycling programs.
- Adhere to OSHA regulations and all brand safety protocols, including emergency procedures and safe use of cleaning products.
- Stock housekeeping carts and maintain inventory control to ensure efficient operations.
- Report any maintenance or repair issues promptly to engineering or management for timely resolution.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in housekeeping or hospitality is desirable.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

Physical Demands
- Seeing – Must be able to see well enough to read reports, drive, and use a computer.

- Standing/Walking/Mobility – Must be able to stand to operate office machinery. Must be able to move between departments.
- Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling – Must be able to climb four flights of stairs. Must be able to stoop and kneel for short periods of time.
- Lifting – Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Fingering/Grasping/Feeling – Must be able to write (sign keys in/out, fill out work orders, etc.).
