General Summary & Scope

The Guest Coordinator engages with guests and promotes Ulta Beauty services through one‑on‑one interactions, both over the phone and in‑person. Representing Ulta’s image, products, and culture, the Coordinator supports the Experience Manager and Assistant Services Manager by focusing on performance (service/retail sales and in‑store events), people (guest service and associate culture), and process (operating procedures and compliance standards). This role requires a passion for beauty, exceptional guest service, and the ability to learn and communicate salon services and product knowledge.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Performance
  • Contribute to meeting or exceeding store goals for retail and service sales, guest loyalty, retail shrink, and omni‑channel sales.
  • Provide exceptional guest service in Salon, Haircare, and Skincare areas, offering friendly, prompt, and courteous assistance.
  • Handle sales, refunds, and exchanges courteously.
  • Answer salon phone calls, resolve guest concerns, manage the services booking system, maintain guest records, and control salon traffic flow.
  • Suggest add‑on services when booking appointments and interacting with guests.
  • Inform guests of current promotions and events, confidently inviting them to try services and providing knowledgeable product and service recommendations.
  • Influence service providers on daily appointment pages, rebooking, and new guest acquisition behaviors.
  • Book appointments and support execution of services and in‑store events that deliver an unrivaled guest experience while meeting sales goals.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, products, and services, and understand ingredients and benefits to better serve guests.

  • Develop guest relationships through in‑person and phone interactions, offering appropriate retail and service recommendations.
  • Identify guests’ needs by observing consultations and ensuring a 360° experience.
  • Collaborate with managers, associates, stylists, and skin therapists to grow the business and enhance the guest experience.
  • Establish professional peer and brand‑partner relationships to deliver exceptional service.
  • Promote the guest loyalty program, credit, and the Ulta Beauty app to salon and sales‑floor guests.
  • Attend mandatory trainings and meetings for continuous professional development.
• Process
  • Ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Adhere to Ulta’s dress code.
  • Support safety, sanitation, and infection‑control procedures, complying with state board guidelines.
  • Partner with the Experience Manager to use scheduling tools (services booking system, payroll tools, Scheduling Opportunities Worksheet, peak 25 hours) and recommend schedule adjustments.
  • Communicate supply needs to maintain guest‑readiness.
  • Maintain outstanding store operational standards, including cleanliness of salon, sales floor, restrooms, backroom, break area, and assigned areas.
  • Protect company assets by following loss‑prevention best practices while delivering exceptional guest service.
  • Execute other operational tasks as directed.

Job Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma preferred.
• Experience: 1 year of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Skills
  • Proficient with basic technology (POS system, Apple devices, Services Booking System).
  • Significant competency in sales, products, and service.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Special Position Requirements

Work a flexible schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Continuous mobility throughout the store is required, with frequent standing, bending, pulling, pushing, crouching, reaching, stooping, twisting, and lifting or moving up to 10 lb. Frequent use of a computer, telephonic devices, and related office supplies is expected. Pay

The pay range for this position is $17.13 – $24.50 per hour. Exact pay is based on factors such as education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business needs. Eligible associates may also earn overtime as required by law.
