General Summary & Scope

The Guest Coordinator is responsible for engaging with guests and promoting Ulta Beauty services through one-on-one interactions, both over the phone and in-person. They represent Ulta Beauty's image, products, and culture, supporting the Experience Manager and Assistant Services Manager in performance, people, and process.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contribute to meeting or exceeding retail and service sales goals, guest loyalty, and in-store events.

  • Provide exceptional guest service by acknowledging guests in the Salon, Haircare, and Skincare areas, offering friendly, prompt, and courteous service.

  • Support the services team by answering phone calls, addressing concerns, managing the booking system, and suggesting add-on services.

  • Inform guests of promotions and events, and provide knowledgeable, professional product and service recommendations.

  • Influence service providers by executing appointment pages, rebooking, and acquiring new guests, and staying informed about industry trends.

  • Maintain prompt attendance and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and standards.

People

  • Create awareness of stylists' goals and collaborate with the team to drive success.

  • Build guest relationships through consultations and ensure a 360° experience.

  • Identify guests' needs and develop professional relationships with peers and brand partners.

  • Share guest loyalty program benefits and assist with supply needs.

  • Attend mandatory trainings and meetings for continuous professional development.

Process

  • Ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty's policies, procedures, and standards.

  • Follow safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures before, during, and after services.

  • Utilize Ulta Beauty scheduling tools to recommend schedule adjustments and maintain guest-readiness.

  • Communicate supply needs to the EM and contribute to maintaining outstanding store operational standards.

  • Execute other operational tasks as directed.

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma preferred, with 1 year of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.

  • Proficient with basic technology (e.g., Point of Sale system, Apple devices, Services Booking System).

  • Demonstrate significant competency in sales, products, and service.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to troubleshoot.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Special Position Requirements

  • Flexible schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Continuous mobility, standing, bending, pulling, pushing, crouching, reaching, stooping, and twisting.

  • Frequent lifting and moving up to 10 lbs.

  • Continuous coordination and manipulation of objects.

  • Use of a computer, telephonic devices, and related office supplies.

Pay Range

$15.92 - $20.00 / Hour

Working Conditions

  • Continuous mobility throughout the store.

  • Frequent standing, bending, pulling, pushing, crouching, reaching, stooping, and twisting.
