About the Role

Store Operations is a critical department within the organization, functioning as the main link between all back office and retail activities. The Director of Operations oversees all store operations functions, ensuring systems, processes, procedures, and policies are in place to guarantee consistent, smooth, and efficient store operations with a focus on compliance and client experience. Through close collaboration with markets and coordination with worldwide (WW) management, the role ensures the retail channel runs efficiently, maintaining operational consistency across stores.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership
    • Partner with key stakeholders to drive a culture of excellence in Operations.
    • Develop and lead the regional team to proactively achieve department and company objectives.
    • Improve daily operations through the development and implementation of regional and WW retail programs.
    • Identify potential talent for future opportunities through ongoing market involvement.
    • Build operationally strong regional teams aligned with market leaders’ priorities.
    • Conduct market visits to support and provide feedback to Regional Managers on front and back-of-house standards, operational processes, and compliance with policies.
    • Implement efficient KPI reporting and monitor operational productivity, client KPIs, operating costs, and inventory control (shrinkage).
  • Strategic Planning, Development, and Execution
    • Assess, analyze, and implement retail projects to improve store efficiencies, productivity, and client experience.
    • Support the creation of budget and forecast operating expense plans in collaboration with regional teams.
    • Provide comprehensive reporting to management.
    • Develop strategies for initiatives and program launches.
    • Ensure innovative tools and business applications are appropriately developed and implemented.
    • Collaborate with other departments to establish useful selling tools, Kering projects, and KPI analytics.
    • Develop essential managerial skills.
    • Participate in the preparation of the monthly business review.
    • Collaborate with the digital team to ensure seamless omni-channel projects.
    • Work with Kering Audit and MIS to build programs that improve compliance and controls.
    • Act as a regional leader for the WW Retail Excellence Program, strengthening its culture within the brand.
    • Focus on a "client-centric" approach, delivering a superior, unique, and consistent client experience across all channels and markets.
    • Identify key values and objectives, ensuring consistent delivery of clienteling across markets in an omnichannel environment.
    • Lead cooperation between WW operations and the region during discovery and implementation phases.
  • Store Operations: Compliance, Efficiency & Productivity
    • Lead the improvement of processes, standards, and policies to enhance store efficiencies and productivity.
    • Ensure adherence to federal and state regulations and ordinances.
    • Drive the development of improved systems on regional and WW levels, ensuring gap analysis, business requirements, training, and roll-out are executed effectively.
    • Collaborate with related departments to support processes and programs.
    • Enhance device and application usage with a focus on client experience, developing guides and directives for client engagement.
    • Work with the WW team to ensure new projects and processes meet regional needs.
    • Lead the enhancement of operational user guides.
    • Develop operational training programs.
    • Establish regional calls to share best practices and ideas for improving efficiency and retail programs.
  • New Store Openings/Store Renovation
    • Partner with Store Planning to provide feedback and identify opportunities during the projecting phase.
    • Collaborate with Regional Managers to plan operational support for new, renovated, DOS, Outlet, and Leased store openings.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in store management, ideally in a regional capacity.
  • Experience managing teams to drive results.
  • A track record in developing and achieving successful sales, clienteling, and operational activities.
  • Ability to promote and implement ideas successfully.
  • Technology-savvy with strong project management skills.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with all levels within an organization.
  • Experience working closely with retail function teams: Financial, Store Planning, Merchandising, Logistics, After Sales, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Loss Prevention, Legal, Client Engagement, and Human Resources.
  • Ability to quickly recognize foreseeable risks.
  • Positive, solution-oriented, and customer-focused attitude.
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach to decision-making.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Qualified candidates must have the proper work authorization to work in the United States.

Pay

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York, the estimated base salary range for this role is $160,000 to $180,000. This range considers factors such as business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience, training, and geographic differentials.

Schedule

Full time. Start date: November 9, 2026.
