Responsibilities
- Secures premises and personnel by monitoring access points; permitting entry to employees and preventing the entry of unauthorized people.
- Controls traffic by directing drivers.
- Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures.
- Maintains organization's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Maintains a log book with details of the names, purpose of visit, and entry and exit times of each individual who enters the premises.
- Reports all suspicious acts happening on the premises to the local police.
- Directs vehicles in and around the building and ensures all vehicles are safe while inside the premises.
- Other duties may be assigned, as needed or warranted, by management.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Prior security experience is preferred.
- Takes initiative, detail-oriented, and works well independently.
- Good communication skills.
- Politeness and courteousness.
- Ability to handle and resolve conflicts.
- Attention to detail.
