GTM Engineer
Vega is the premier AI-native claims TPA reimagining the $250B insurance claims industry—replacing fax machines, phone tag, and legacy systems with modern technology. Our team combines experienced insurance operators and technologists to deliver superior outcomes for clients. With 10x YoY revenue growth and backing from marquee VCs like General Catalyst, Lightspeed, and Valor, we’re on track for a $XXM run-rate in under 2 years.
About the Role
We're hiring a GTM Engineer to build the technical infrastructure behind Vega's revenue motion. This role focuses on coverage, depth, and timing across a finite, nameable universe of insurance carriers, MGAs, self-insured entities, and brokers. You’ll map the market, identify key accounts and buyers, and track changes that create opportunities. This is a hands-on, builder’s role where you’ll work in our CRM, Clay/Apollo, and other GTM tooling, collaborating closely with Sales leadership and using AI coding tools like Claude Code to ship automations faster than traditional GTM ops.
We value in-person collaboration and come into the office 4 days per week to build strong relationships and move quickly as a team.
Responsibilities
- Map the market by building systems to keep every account and its full buying committee enriched, current, and prioritized by conversion potential, enabling reps to multi-thread from day one.
- Develop signals to identify the right moment for outreach, such as claims leadership changes, book growth, new program launches, deteriorating loss ratios, contract renewal windows, RFPs, or state expansion, and route them to reps quickly.
- Power our field GTM by targeting and prioritizing accounts ahead of conferences, roadshows, and dinners, and automate follow-up workflows.
- Partner with sales and marketing leads on broader field strategy.
- Build nurture and re-engagement workflows for a long-cycle market, ensuring accounts resurface at the right moment.
- Own our CRM as the system of record, maintaining clean object models, reliable reporting, and workflows reps actually want to use.
- Automate repetitive tasks using Claude Code and similar AI tools, freeing the sales team to focus on selling.
- Shape the GTM stack—evaluate and propose improvements to inherited tools, with the autonomy to implement better solutions.
Requirements
- At least 2 years in RevOps, Sales Ops, GTM Engineering, or equivalent roles.
- Experience with account-based or enterprise sales motions is a strong plus.
- Comfortable with APIs, webhooks, and data integration; ability to build end-to-end workflows.
- Proficiency in SQL and/or Python is a strong plus.
- Proven experience shipping automations you can walk us through.
- Experience building, developing, or connecting core systems like CRM and adjacent GTM tools, and running CRM for a live sales team with reporting leadership trusts.
- Experience building with LLMs or AI agents, and reliance on tools like Claude Code or Cursor in your day-to-day work.
- Treat GTM systems like a product you own end-to-end, proactively identifying and fixing issues.
- Comfortable as an early, high-leverage hire with no playbook—preferring to write it yourself.
- Direct experience with Clay/Apollo and other GTM tools; familiarity with ABM campaigns, lifecycle marketing, or ad platforms is a plus.
Benefits
- Competitive salary and equity—a direct stake in the future of an AI-native industry leader.
- Top-tier medical, dental, and vision insurance.
- 401k with company match.
- Flexible PTO and a work-from-home friendly environment.
- A fast-paced, high-talent density team that values transparency and shipping fast.
