GTM Engineer
Gumloop is the AI infrastructure companies roll out to let everyone build agents securely. We enable teams to create, share, and manage agents with controlled data access, customizable AI models, and self-hosted cloud deployment. We're a small, fast-moving team backed by over $70M from Benchmark, First Round Capital, Y Combinator, and Nexus Ventures. Companies like Gusto, Ramp, Shopify, Samsara, Instacart, and Opendoor run agents on Gumloop across their organizations.
About the role
We're looking for a GTM Engineer to build and operate the automated systems that power Gumloop's revenue engine. This individual contributor role sits within a GTM function still in its early stages, offering a greenfield opportunity to shape how we work. You'll build agents and workflows on Gumloop to automate our go-to-market operations, integrating tools like Salesforce, Clay, Apollo, and HeyReach into a cohesive, automated system.
Responsibilities
- Build the GTM engine on Gumloop: Design and deploy AI agents and workflows that automate go-to-market processes, including signal-based prospecting, enrichment, meeting scheduling, CRM hygiene, and post-call follow-ups.
- Connect the full GTM stack: Integrate Salesforce, Clay, Apollo, and other tools into a unified system with clean data flow, enrichment logic, sync architecture, and routing rules to ensure accuracy and deduplication.
- Own and build inside Salesforce: Manage objects, fields, tables, flows, automations, validation rules, and integrations to maintain a clean revenue motion and provide structured, reliable data for GTM teams.
- Automate sales outbound: Develop an end-to-end outbound engine covering intent detection, account enrichment, AI-personalized touchpoints, human review checkpoints, and CRM sync to drive qualified meetings.
- Automate marketing and CS workflows: Create playbooks for lifecycle marketing, lead scoring, churn-risk alerts, onboarding sequences, and customer health monitoring to replace manual, repetitive tasks.
- Partner with GTM leadership: Work directly with sales, marketing, and CS leaders to translate strategy into automated playbooks, dynamic scoring models, and signal-driven workflows that deliver measurable revenue outcomes.
- Own data quality and governance: Build validation rules, deduplication logic, and data structures to ensure GTM teams can trust the data they rely on.
- Build for reliability and document your work: Design observability, monitoring, and debugging into systems to maintain high uptime, and document your work for clarity and extensibility.
- Influence the product: Use your experience automating Gumloop’s GTM to identify friction, propose features, and shape future product development.
Requirements
- Technical aptitude: Comfortable working with APIs, webhooks, data integrations, and SQL. Ability to write scripts to connect systems and manipulate data. Systems thinking and experience building automations from scratch.
- 3+ years in a GTM Engineering, Growth Engineering, Revenue Operations, or technical RevOps role, working closely with sales, marketing, or CS teams. Open to candidates from adjacent technical roles transitioning into GTM.
- GTM fluency: Understanding of the sales funnel, CRM data models (Salesforce, HubSpot), enrichment ecosystems (Clay, Apollo, 6sense), and the day-to-day operations of revenue teams. Ability to collaborate effectively with AEs, SDRs, and CSMs.
- GTM tooling fluency: Experience with modern outbound and prospecting tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Unify, HeyReach, PhantomBuster, and others, and the ability to integrate them into automated workflows.
- Attribution & analytics literacy: Knowledge of attribution models (first-touch, second-touch, last-touch, view-through, multi-touch) and experience with analytics tools like PostHog, Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, and server-side conversion events. Ability to build reporting that reflects revenue generation.
- Builder mentality: Proactively identify manual processes and replace them with automation or agents. Track record of shipping internal tools, automation pipelines, or data workflows that measurably improve team output.
- AI-native mindset: Experience building with LLMs, prompt engineering, or AI agents, either in production or as side projects. Ability to evaluate when AI or deterministic workflows are appropriate.
- High ownership in ambiguity: Thrive in early-stage environments where requirements are not fully defined. Ability to determine priorities, build, ship, iterate, and own outcomes.
Skills
- Fluency with AI-native GTM tools (e.g., Gumloop, Claude, Cursor, OpenAI or equivalents).
- CS degree or equivalent technical background.
- Open source contributions or side projects related to automation, agents, or data pipelines.
- Familiarity with ad platforms (LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads, Meta Ads).
- Experience building ABM (account-based marketing) campaigns from scratch.
- Experience shipping production LLM applications or a background in analytics/data engineering.
Benefits
- Highly competitive salary and meaningful equity.
- Generous paid time off: 24 days for SF employees.
- $350/month wellness benefit for gym, spa, equipment, or other wellness expenses.
- 15 days of temporary remote work flexibility per year.
- 401k match up to 6%.
