GSRP Coverage Aide (Ganiard Vowles Pullen)

About the role

This position supports coverage for GSRP Lead Teacher and Associate Teacher lunch periods and preparation time.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals and clean up after children
• Work in classroom with 4 and 5 year old children
• Create a safe, loving and nurturing environment
• Maintain the daily program
• Organize materials for classroom projects
• Relieve staff during the lunch period
• Interact, initiate and encourage students to participate in activities

Requirements

• LARA Fingerprints
• Some additional GSRP training modules
• Experience working in a setting dealing directly with young children
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Knowledge of culturally responsive practices and commitment to an inclusive learning environment

Qualifications

• High school diploma
• Background in early childhood education (preferred)

Starting wage

$16.38 per hour

Schedule

6-8 hours per day
