About the role

This role is responsible for the safe and efficient repairing and rebuilding of airport service vehicles. These vehicles include but are not limited to support trucks, stationary carts, tankers, and hydrant trucks. You will be required to inspect and identify defective or broken parts on vehicles as well as make repairs to gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems. The maintenance team ensures our aircraft services team can operate effectively by providing proper preventive care for equipment and timely repairs to broken equipment ensuring all work is performed safely and is supported by following established procedures and protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and identify defective or broken parts on vehicles as well as make repairs to gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, fueling and mechanical systems.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual quality control checks on the refueling equipment, maintain records relating to maintenance.
  • Drive and operate refueling equipment vehicles.
  • Ensure our aircraft services team can operate effectively by providing proper preventative care to equipment and timely repairs to broken equipment.
  • Maintain a safe and secure work environment, in accordance with local health, safety, and security policies and procedures, assuring a clean and safe working environment.
  • Perform periodic maintenance and inspections on filters, pumps, valves, tanks, pressure controls, metering and gauging equipment, company vehicles.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment such as pipeline issues, electrical equipment, motors, switch gear, and lighting.
  • Ensure that all work assigned is performed in a timely fashion with quality workmanship.
  • Ensure through definitive methods that product meets or exceeds quality standards set forth; ensure all work is completed in a timely manner, contributing to an efficient operation.

Requirements

  • Must have a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), or related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of mechanical experience.
  • Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English.
  • Available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
  • Comfortable working in all weather conditions.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all required Airports and Custom badges/seals.
  • Must possess mechanical tools and toolbox.
  • Must have Electrical, Maintenance, and computer knowledge.

Skills

Ideally looking for an individual with auto maintenance or forklift maintenance experience.

Schedule

  • 1st shift (11:00 - 19:30) Off Thursday and Friday
  • 2nd Shift (14:00-22:30) Off Wednesday and Thursday
  • 3rd Shift (04:00-12:30) Off Monday and Tuesday

Pay

$24 - $26 per hour
