About the role

Group leader for payroll accounting in the Payroll Department, based in Vienna.

Responsibilities

  • Technical leadership and further development of payroll accounting
  • Responsibility for the execution of monthly payroll settlements (salaries, pensions, remuneration of committee members) and their posting
  • Design, maintenance, further development and specification of guidelines, standards and processes
  • Advising and providing information on accounting, tax and social security matters within the scope of responsibility
  • Ensuring compliance with legal and internal requirements for payroll accounting, for the internal control system (ICS) and its further development, as well as for compliance and audit-proof processes within the scope of responsibility
  • Ensuring the necessary professional training of subordinate employees within the scope of responsibility
  • Management of authorisation management in SAP HR
  • Responsibility for HR systems (esp. SAP HR), including further development, requirements, testing and approvals
  • Interface to group accounting for payroll-relevant data
  • Coordination of internal and external audits in consultation with the superior

Requirements

  • Completed training as a payroll accountant and several years of relevant professional experience; leadership experience is an advantage
  • Comprehensive knowledge of employment, wage tax and social security law
  • Very good knowledge of SAP HR; experience in authorisation management is an advantage
  • Strong digital competence and experience in collaboration with HR IT; experience in digitalisation and automation of HR processes is an advantage
  • High accuracy, sense of responsibility and a pronounced understanding of compliance and governance
  • Structured, proactive working style and ability to clearly manage and communicate complex topics
  • Team orientation, conflict and communication skills, resilience and willingness to adapt to change

Pay

Minimum gross annual salary according to collective agreement: at least €65,986.90 (including special payments); higher salary depends on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

40 hours per week, normal working hours.
