Growth & Strategy Lead, Office of the CEO

About the Role

We're hiring one person to work directly with our founders and CEO, owning the questions that decide the next 18 months of this company: which markets we win, what we say, who we sell to, and why they buy. This is not a strategy role that ends in a recommendation—you'll set the thesis on Monday and be running the play by Tuesday: sourcing the accounts, sitting in the deals, writing the narrative, shooting the video, and taking what you learn back into the product roadmap.

We're open on background and deliberately narrow on wiring. If you're at McKinsey, Bain, or BCG and tired of handing the work to someone else to execute, this is the version of your job where you own the outcome. If you graduated in the last year or two, are relentlessly intense, and want the seat that would normally take a decade to reach, you are squarely in scope. We'd rather bet on slope than résumé.

Responsibilities

  • Go-to-market strategy: Own the market map: segmentation, ICP definition, competitive positioning, and a defensible view of where agentic marketing is heading. Run analyses to decide pricing, packaging architecture, verticalization, and partnership strategy. Turn insights into a plan with targets, sequencing, and deliberate trade-offs. Defend these plans in leadership meetings, then execute by creating demand through account strategy, outbound, partnerships, events, content, and unconventional plays—backed by a budget and freedom to experiment.
  • Category design and external narrative: Define what "agentic marketing" means to become the default answer. Own the narrative as a strategic asset: positioning architecture, messaging hierarchy, proof points, and a point of view that reshapes how CMOs think about their teams. Bring it to market at scale using video: product demos, customer stories, founder POV, launch moments, and short-form content that compounds into distribution. Develop taste, judgment, and speed to persuade enterprise buyers.
  • The product strategy loop: Ensure customer feedback directly shapes what gets built. Work with engineering to reflect insights in the product. Build business cases, pilot designs, and customer use cases. Write specs for gaps you identify and prototype using our own agents—you’ll be a power user of what we sell.
  • Investor and board narrative: Shape the story we tell investors, not just report on it. Craft metrics narratives, market-sizing work, and competitive framing for board materials. Build proof-of-traction assets for the next raise. Leverage an investor base that includes operators from Google, Meta, and Booking.com.

Who This Is For

We think two very different people can excel here, and we're running one search for both:

  • Profile A: Future Founder. 2–4 years in top-tier strategy consulting, banking, PE/VC, or a strategy-and-ops role at a fast-growing startup. You’ve done high-standard strategy work and are frustrated that execution was handed off to others.
  • Profile B: Asymmetric Upside. 0–2 years out of school, possibly zero. You’ve run initiatives (on campus, in your dorm, or built a following), are intensely driven, learn rapidly, and want accelerated experience—five years in eighteen months.

What We're Screening For

  • Slope over intercept: We care more about how fast you got to where you are than where that is.
  • You make things: Video, decks, sites, prototypes, newsletters, businesses, or clubs. Evidence you build and ship, not just advise.
  • Structured thinking under pressure: Turn messy questions into actionable insights for a CEO. Show us where you’ve done this, even outside work.
  • Commercially wired: You want to drive business results.
  • AI-native: Our agents are part of how you’ll work—this should already be true of you.
  • Low need for process, high tolerance for ambiguity: Adapt between 70% deals and 70% strategy based on the situation, not rigid plans.

Note for early-career candidates: You won’t be expected to know enterprise pricing upfront but must figure it out in three weeks, openly and independently. Support here is access—ideal if you’re the right person, challenging if you’re not.

Pay

$150,000 - $300,000 a year. The base salary depends on work experience, education, skills, and business considerations. This role is also eligible for equity and competitive benefits.

Benefits

  • Impact: Shape the future of agentic AI and enterprise personalization, moving from manual segmentation to self-learning systems.
  • Influence: Work directly with Auxia’s founders and leadership, alongside ex-Google, Meta, and Lyft engineers. Your insights will drive the product roadmap and the future of enterprise AI.
  • Work Environment: Onsite in Palo Alto with hybrid options. Fast-moving, research-driven culture where ideas turn into production within weeks. Freedom with accountability—collaborative problem-solving with top minds.
