About the role
As the Growth Strategist for Credit Cards, you will deliver marketing strategies and tactics to nurture and build brand equity for Citizens' card offerings. This role is both strategic and executional, leading the development, advocacy, execution, assessment, and continuous improvement of integrated marketing plans to drive interest, adoption, and usage of our credit card products.
Responsibilities
- Develop and help lead marketing strategy and vision to achieve overall business objectives and revenue goals.
- Influence and partner with cross-functional teams to design and deliver quarterly and annual integrated marketing plans spanning all channels—media (paid/earned/mass), digital, direct mail, email, social, collateral, etc.—to achieve business line goals.
- Manage a team to execute plans across acquisition and portfolio management.
- Serve as the primary liaison between business lines and marketing partners, ensuring the broader marketing team is fully versed in all aspects of business line products, pricing, value proposition, and competitive differentiators.
- Partner with Credit Card business leadership and key stakeholders to align on marketing strategy, plans, and priorities.
- Navigate and prioritize requests from various line-of-business stakeholders while acting as a thought leader and expert in this space.
- Proactively manage risk, ensuring all programs comply with defined processes and regulatory guidelines.
- Implement closed-loop analytics to measure marketing performance against forecasts and continually refine strategies.
Requirements
- Strong ability to think strategically and creatively.
- Credit Card marketing experience, including advertising, direct, digital, and public relations.
- Strong channel experience in digital marketing, including search, display, social, and content.
- Experience developing insightful and clear creative, marketing, advertising, and/or media briefs using research, data, personas, and customer journey maps.
- Ability and desire to work collaboratively within a team and adopt a test-and-learn approach.
- Experience managing directly, indirectly, or through influence.
- Ability to review data, interpret results, and create actionable, measurable strategies.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while delivering on schedule and budget.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- A proactive, accountable approach with high expectations for your work.
- Attention to detail.
- Minimum 10+ years of marketing experience.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
Schedule
- Hours per Week: 40
- Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM
- Hybrid Schedule: 4 days in office (Westwood, MA; Charlotte, NC; or Newark, DE) and 1 day remote.
Pay
The salary range for this position is $155,000–$200,000 per year, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on factors including work location and relevant skills and experience.
