Growth Strategy & Audience Development

Lead initiatives to increase audience growth, retention, engagement, and discoverability.

• Analyze episode performance and reception
• Identify editorial opportunities, collaborations, cultural moments, and audience behaviors worth building around
• Build relationships with distribution platforms and partners to unlock editorial placements and growth opportunities

Packaging & Distribution

Own titles, thumbnails, descriptions, and promotional assets across our platforms - YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.

• Manage publishing schedule across YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, ART19/Megaphone, and social platforms

Project Management

Own production timelines and coordinate cross-functional work across editors, guests, contractors, and partners.

• Run creative reviews through final approval

Editorial Development

Research guests deeply and develop interview briefs.

• Pitch timely episode concepts rooted in internet conversations, career trends, and culture
• Package interviews into compelling narratives and stories that audiences will click on

Qualifications

• Editorial & Creative: Exceptional editorial taste, obsessive storytelling, excellent copywriting skills, up-to-date with internet trends
• Obsessed with Growth: Reverse-engineers great work, understands various platforms, thinks about distribution strategy alongside content strategy
• A Strong Operator: Extraordinarily organized, proactive problem solver, relentless follow-through, flexible in ambiguous environments, takes ownership of new work
• Tapped Into the Culture: Tech literate, interested in technology, entrepreneurship, AI, creators, media, and the future of work

• Needs clear guidance or detailed briefs to have direction
• Prefers managing over making
• Uncomfortable wearing many hats
• Not comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment
• Never available on nights and weekends
• No podcasting experience
