Growth Associate - Content Marketing
Modo Energy is the data platform at the centre of the energy transition, providing benchmarking, forecasting, and valuation tools for energy investors, developers, and operators. Founded in 2019, we're a global team of 80+ across London, New York, Sydney, and Madrid, backed by $30M in Series B funding and AI-native.
About the role
We're hiring a Growth Associate for our Content Marketing team to help more people discover Modo Energy's research and prove its impact. This generalist role involves working directly with the Head of Content Marketing to amplify our power market expertise through social media campaigns, newsletters, SEO-optimised articles, podcasts, and more. You'll focus on turning our deep market research—such as power price forecasts, battery and solar revenue projections, benchmarks, and regulation—into engaging content that drives signups and usage.
A key part of the role is measurement and content operations, including setting standards for consistent execution and building attribution systems to track what’s working. We aim to be best-in-class in data-driven content marketing, so you’ll need sharp opinions on what good looks like and the drive to execute. If you’re excited about the energy transition and comfortable with both creative and analytical work, this is a rare opportunity to join a category-defining company at a global scaling moment.
Responsibilities
- Keep the content engine running: build and own the content calendar, ensuring articles, emails, and campaigns ship on time for maximum impact.
- Set up and run attribution using HubSpot, Fullstory, and Intercom to track what content drives new visitors, signups, and usage.
- Report weekly, iterate fast, and ground decisions in data to ensure effectiveness.
- Help produce and scale core content formats: SEO articles, newsletters, email comms, and videos, expanding successful ones into Europe and Australia.
- Segment users, leads, and audience in HubSpot to deliver the right content to the right people.
- Run employee visibility initiatives, including social presence, podcast bookings, press/trade-press outreach, and marketing the analysts behind the insights.
- Build AI and Cowork workflows to automate repetitive tasks and improve efficiency.
Requirements
- You’ve shipped something independently—a project, campaign, newsletter, or similar—from idea to execution.
- Hands-on experience with HubSpot (or equivalent) for measurement and attribution; you’ll bring this expertise, not learn it on the job.
- Comfortable with data and marketing ops; you’d rather build clean attribution systems than guess.
- An engineering or analytical mindset; you think in systems and prefer automation over manual repetition.
- Strong writing skills: clear, direct, and tailored to the audience.
- You use AI as a core part of your workflow, including building automations and agents to work faster.
- Curious and resourceful; you figure things out without needing step-by-step instructions.
- Strong taste and judgement; you know good from bad and aren’t afraid to say so.
Nice to have
- Experience with design or video tools like Figma, Premiere Pro, or Canva.
- Background in growth or marketing campaigns.
- Exposure to PR or communications.
- Interest in energy, climate, or the clean power transition.
- Degree in an analytical field (e.g., economics, engineering, maths, physics), though we prioritise how you think over what you studied.
Benefits
- 25 days annual leave.
- Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
- 401(k) with optional employer matching.
Pay
Base salary range: $80,000–$120,000 per year, depending on experience. Modo Energy’s policy is to pay top of personal market—if you’re exceptional, we’ll make it work.
Schedule
Hybrid: Tuesday to Thursday in-office, with Monday and Friday flexible.
