Group Manager, Mechanical Engineering
for each section. Use - for lists. Use
for prose.
We need to decide which sections to include: About the role (intro paragraph). Responsibilities (the long paragraph). Requirements (maybe combine Required Qualifications and Advantageous Qualifications? But we have separate sections for Requirements and Qualifications per instruction. Could treat Required Qualifications as Requirements, Advantageous Qualifications as Qualifications. Skills maybe we can extract from Required Qualifications: MS Office Suite, communication, etc. But we could also put those under Skills. However we must not create thin sections. Let's see: We have Required Qualifications list (PE, 15+ years, 5 years managing, coaching experience, technical reports, MS Office, communication, ability to work outside hours, travel up to 20%). Advantageous Qualifications list (multiple state PE, AutoCAD/Revit/SolidWorks, active member). Skills could be things like MS Office, communication, presentation, etc. But we already have those in Required Qualifications. Might be redundant. Perhaps better to have sections: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements (combining Required Qualifications), Qualifications (Advantageous), Benefits, Pay, Schedule. Skills maybe not needed if covered.
But instruction says use headings for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). It doesn't require all; we include only those with real content. So we can include About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. Skills maybe not needed if we don't have distinct skills list beyond what's in Requirements. However we could extract skills like "MS Office Suite", "written and verbal communication", "presentation skills". But those are already in Requirements. Could still make a Skills section but risk duplication. Better to omit Skills if not distinct.
Thus sections:
- About the role: intro paragraph.
- Responsibilities: the paragraph(s) describing duties.
- Requirements: list of Required Qualifications.
- Qualifications: list of Advantageous Qualifications.
- Benefits: list of benefits.
- Pay: paragraph about salary range (Bloomington) and note about determination.
- Schedule: paragraph about hybrid work arrangement and travel.
Make sure to preserve all substantive info: include location info, hybrid arrangement, travel up to 20% (mentioned in Required Qualifications). Also mention regular travel to other offices, project/client locations, conferences.
Check that we didn't miss any substantive info: The intro about employee-owned team, looking for mechanical engineer etc. That's covered.
Responsibilities includes all bullet-like sentences; we can keep as prose or break into list? The instruction: Use
- for any list of duties/requirements/benefits. The responsibilities are a series of duties; could be formatted as list for clarity. But we can also keep as prose
. The instruction says use
- for any list of duties/requirements/benefits. It doesn't forbid using
for prose; but if it's a list, better to use list. However the responsibilities are not explicitly bullet list in source; they are sentences separated by periods. Could still be formatted as list items. I'd choose to use
- for responsibilities to follow instruction. Similarly for Required Qualifications and Advantageous Qualifications and Benefits.
Thus:
