About The Role NLG is seeking an experienced Group Manager to oversee multiple construction projects and project teams while driving operational excellence across the organization. This leadership role is responsible for delivering projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate has a strong background in commercial and institutional construction, particularly K-12 schools, higher education, municipal, or similar public-sector projects. Experience managing multiple project managers and collaborating with field operations is highly preferred. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)7+ years of construction project or program management experience with progressive leadership responsibilitiesProven experience leading multiple projects and project teamsStrong understanding of budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and operational planningExperience using project management and business intelligence tools to drive performanceCommercial and institutional construction experience required (K-12, higher education, municipal, healthcare, or similar projects preferred) Preferred Qualifications Master's degree or MBAPMP, Six Sigma, or similar professional certificationExperience leading large, complex construction programsExperience working in a matrixed organizationBackground in digital transformation or process improvement initiatives Key Responsibilities Lead multiple project teams to successfully deliver projects on time and within budgetDevelop and oversee project execution plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocationMentor and support Project Managers while promoting accountability and operational excellenceMonitor project financial performance, productivity, and key performance metricsPartner with operations, field leadership, and executive management to ensure project successIdentify opportunities to improve processes, workflows, and overall project deliveryFoster strong client relationships and support business growth initiatives Ideal Candidate We're looking for a proven construction leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys developing teams while managing complex commercial and institutional projects.
