Group Leader, Multiple Locations
About the role
Camp Fire North Shore is seeking enthusiastic, reliable, and caring Group Leaders to support our dynamic after-school programs. This role is essential in creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment where children in kindergarten through eighth grade can learn, grow, and thrive.
Responsibilities
- Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate activities aligned with Camp Fire and site location goals
- Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive environment
- Support children with varying abilities using inclusive practices
- Reinforce school-day learning through hands-on experiences
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized space
- Supervise children and ensure safety compliance
- Observe and document student progress and needs
- Communicate effectively with Site Coordinator
- Build relationships with children and staff
- Participate in meetings and 12+ hours of annual professional development
- Obtain First Aid/CPR certification within 6 months of hire (required for all EEC staff)
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age and meet one of the following:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree + 3 months professional experience
- High school diploma + 6 months Professional experience (including 3 months licensed program)
- 9 months professional experience with school-age children (including 3 months licensed program)

Additional Requirements
- CORI, SORI, fingerprinting background checks
- Completion of EEC onboarding requirements prior to start
- Must meet all EEC licensing requirements for school-age programs

Pay
Hourly Rate: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
Part-Time | Monday through Thursday/ Friday
Typical shifts (vary by location):
1:30 PM - 5:15 PM
1:30 PM - 6:15 PM
All Group Leaders are required to report 15 minutes prior to the start of programming for preparation and team coordination. Schedule may vary slightly depending on after-school location.
