Group Leader - Assembly - 1st Shift

Job Description

Key results expected from this position in the first 6-12 months:

• Responsible for the daily activities required to meet the production schedule
• Makes sure proper manning is in place to support the TAKT time
• Ensures adequate training is administered to the new employees
• Mets all safety, quality, productivity and MRO goals for the area
• Properly fills out an hour by hour sheet each day, repair logs, checklists, etc.
• Correctly production reports items daily
• Follows standard work as established and responsible for taking time observations and laying out standard work as needed
• Communicates clearly with supervisors and other team members at all levels in the organization
• Responsible for monitoring repairs and scrap as well as providing corrective actions to the supervisor
• May be assigned to drive fork truck and repair on assembly line as well
• Must be able to do basic math
• Must be able to stand and walk for 10-12 hours per day and lift up to 40 lbs
