Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise all aspects of the group home operations (i.e., staff supervision, on-call, and spot checks)
  • Plan and conduct staff meetings and training
  • Conduct interviews and observations, provide feedback, and complete employee evaluations
  • Share on-call responsibilities with the group home Assistant Manager
  • Uphold agency and licensing regulations
  • Create staff scheduling
  • Auxiliary with scheduling doctors' appointments
  • Responsible for program and client finances
  • Assists and supervises in activities of daily living skills
  • Administer or assist with prescribed medication
  • Light housekeeping
  • Auxiliary with transportation
  • Auxiliary in the implementation of individual goals and objectives
  • Data entry using Therap (EHR)
  • Auxiliary in assisting residents in pursuing recreational, social, and community activities based on their preferences and individual plans

Job Requirements

  • HS diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience as a supervisor and working with people with disabilities
  • A valid driver's license in good standing & must be insurable through NJID's automobile insurance
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • No certification required

  • County: Middlesex & Monmouth
  • Hrs Per Work Week: 40
  • Weekly Work Schedule: Edison (GH 2) Mon. 10a-6p, Tues. 12p-8p, Wed. 9a-5p, Thurs. 12p-8p and Fri. 8a-4p Manalapan (GH4) Mon. 9a-5p, Tues. 10a-6p, Wed. 9a-5p, Thurs. 10a-6p & Fri 9a-5p
  • Other shifts are available at this location.
  • NJID has full-time, part-time, and per diem opportunities in Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean, and Somerset Counties.
