Group Home Caregiver

About the role

Mentor Community Services, part of the Sevita family, provides community-based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This part-time Grouphome Caregiver position is based in Levittown, PA 19055.

Responsibilities

• Help participants grow, learn, and live well through rewarding, relationship-focused care
• Develop meaningful relationships with the individuals you serve
• Support participants in community integration and preferred activities
• Assist with developmental goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition
• Provide personal hygiene assistance
• Support individuals who may display behavioral challenges, including physical and verbal aggression
• Transport clients in a company van as needed

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred
• Valid full Driver's License held for at least 12 months after permit/intermediate stage
• Access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance
• Willingness to transport clients in a company van
• Availability to attend one week of paid orientation (Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
• Willingness to work with individuals who may display physical and verbal aggression
• Strong communication, adaptability, multi-tasking, teamwork, and time-management skills
• Patient, compassionate, reliable, and responsible demeanor

Pay

$16 per hour

Schedule

Evening shift required: Friday and Saturday, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (guaranteed hours). Part-time, afternoons/nights/weekends.
